Writer's Block: TMI [Thursday 10:24am June 3rd] If you had the opportunity to know everything about the person you love, would you take it? Or would you avoid the possibility of getting hurt? I've already been blindsided once by the one I love, in a really bad way, and now the fear gets to me a lot. I love him, but it's like I have post-traumatic stress disorder that makes me cringe and second-guess myself all the time. As much as some of the stuff I'd discover would probably hurt, at this point I'd rather know exactly who and what I'm dealing with. I like to be prepared, and knowing would give me a chance to think about exactly what I need to do to cope with anything else he might throw at me. alone?

[Sunday 2:17pm December 27th] Holy crap I'm not dead. Just tired and stressed out. Family is all in-fighting and totally fucked over Christmas, Matt exacerbated everything by not calling me to tell me he was getting out of work over an hour late, and to top it off I don't feel well. Thank god I have Amat and the YGO dressing room to keep me distracted. Yes, you can all boo and throw shit at me now. New Year's resolution: don't neglect this journal anymore. Even if y'all are on plurk or whatever now. Oh, and I got Skype. Finally. Yes, shut up, I know I'm behind. Anybody else on it? 6 on the streets |alone?

Yeah, after being MIA all this time... I come back with a MEME. Yay me. [Sunday 3:40pm November 15th] Taken from mereprototype Step 1: Put your MP3 player or whatever music player you have on random. Step 2: Post a line/stanza from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song. Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from. [Tuesday 5:09pm September 1st] Some fucking douchebag in Pennsauken backed into Matt's car while he was at work. And of course, the asshole drove off in a hurry, leaving my husband's almost brand new Corolla with serious body damage on the front end. Whoever and wherever said asshole is, I hope his engine seizes in his current vehicle and every vehicle he ever owns in the future. You're the reason I have no faith in humanity, jerkass. 1 on the streets |alone?

[Saturday 9:18pm August 8th] Well, it's been a year. This time last year, I was enjoying our wedding reception, having been a married woman for all of an hour. And I was the happiest woman in the world. Still am. Today, Matt and I went back to Baltimore, where we were married, and spent the day at the National Aquarium. I always feel so much at peace around fish (though we made sure to avoid the jellyfish exhibit, bleeeeh), and the dolphin show just made me smile. I love dolphins, and I would give anything to be able to swim with one. After we left the aquarium, we walked around the inner harbor for a bit before we ended up at a rather interesting restaurant: Fogo De Chao, a Brazilian steakhouse. It's like... endless meat. They keep bringing you pieces of different high-quality grilled beef, chicken, pork, lamb, and sausage until you turn your card over. You just pick what you want when they come over with the meat on the skewers. And it's a fixed price, not counting desserts and alcohol. SO GOOD. I'd recommend it if you like meat and you're looking for a special occasion place. When the manager and staff found out it was our anniversary, they comped our desserts. ^_^ So we're home now, exhausted but happy, and ready for many more years. 6 on the streets |alone?

[Wednesday 1:58pm June 10th] Have any of you ever had Watergate Salad? The way I know it, it's pistachio pudding, Cool Whip, and crushed pineapple. It looks slightly hideous to some people but oh my god it tastes amazing. My grandmother used to make it... it's sort of a variation on ambrosia salad. Well, I haven't had it since Bubbie died in 2003, and here one of my dad's friends made some and brought it to him. He shared with me. She mixes mini-marshmallows into it, and I love it. Talk about nostalgia. Ty, I should make some for your next Halloween party. You and your mom can call it Monster Snot. XD alone?

[Sunday 11:27pm May 17th] My new laptop is up and running. It can run City of Heroes/Villains and Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine. ::SQUEE:: Anybody play either of those and want to team up for anything? Just drop me a line in the comments here or send me a message through LJ. 7 on the streets |alone?

re: Yu-gi-oh 5D's episode 57 [Thursday 11:15am May 7th] ... my heart is broken. I know he's the protagonist, but seeing him fall into Momentum like that, knowing what it did to Bommer/Grieger... my morbid side took a screencap of him and recolored his eyes and criminal mark to look like a Dark Signer. ... why do I get the feeling that it's a vision of the future? And then the preview for episode 58... Jack... oh god, Jack, not you too.... 6 on the streets |alone?

[Monday 1:38pm May 4th] Saturday and Sunday were a blast. People arrived kinda late on Saturday, so we ended up staying up until around 3 am. Oh god, there was so much drunkenness... I was totally sober, having had zero alcohol, but all the better to giggle at everybody else. Sunday was the epic. While waiting for Matt to get home, I was chatting with a friend online and showing off Baroque for the Wii. Awesome dark dystopian action game from Atlus, oh yes. Once Matt arrived, we gathered up in two cars and drove up to Mitsuwa in Edgewater. There was dinner and then much shopping to be had in the toy store, the bookstore, and the market itself. I got a new bag since my old one was fraying. Brit found volumes 2 and 4 of the Japanese Disgaea 2 manga. Being a huge Disgaea nerd, I didn't care that I've seen the scanlations, I had to have them. Volume 4 has one of my favorite shots of Adell, too. ::squee:: After we left Mitsuwa, we went to Dunellen and 8 On The Break. Dan was my crony and introduced Aiden, Frog, and Ty to DJMAX Technika. There's only handful of machines in the entire world, and it's damned impressive. I think they ended up hooked. XD So all in all, I had a great weekend! 1 on the streets |alone?
